Highlights
About This Salon
Near the centre of Maidstone, House of Healing occupies a quiet studio where Japanese head spa rituals take centre stage. The space is designed for calm, with treatments beginning with a detailed scalp analysis to tailor the experience. Steam treatments soften the scalp before measured movements of an Indian scalp massage release tension. A nourishing mask and warm towel therapy complete the process, leaving hair slightly damp or styled with an optional blow dry. From the testimonials, clients highlight the attentiveness of the staff and the expertise of the therapists. The Classic Head Spa, lasting an hour, includes neck and shoulder work, while the extended Global Ritual Package incorporates a full-body Swedish massage with warm stones. Regular visitors often combine treatments for a holistic approach to relaxation. Free parking is available on-site or along the adjacent road.

Booking Your Head Spa
Here are our tips to prepare for and fully enjoy your scalp treatment.
Book in Advance
Book 1 to 2 weeks in advance. Weekend slots sell out fast. And some scalp care specialists are in high demand, especially at reputable Japanese head spa and Indian head massage (champissage) salons.
Prepare for Your Visit
If you have concerns like itchy scalp, product buildup, or hair loss (alopecia), mention them when booking to customise your session.
Day of Your Session
Don't wash your hair the day of your appointment and arrive with brushed hair. Skip makeup as some treatments include a facial mask or kobido massage.
After Your Session
Enjoy a calm activity to extend the relaxing effects of your head massage. Note: blow-drying is usually not included. Allow extra time for long hair.
At-Home Care
Avoid washing your hair for 24-48 hours to let the treatment absorb. For a healthy scalp between sessions, ask your specialist which shampoo and hair care products to use at home.
Maintain Your Results
For lasting scalp health, consider regular treatments. Many clients book their next head spa before leaving to maintain their scalp care routine.
